Ireckonu’s journey began with a mission to revolutionize the status quo. In 2014, a Dutch hotel brand, citizenM, faced a challenge even tech giant Microsoft couldn’t crack. Their search for inventive solutions led them to Jan Jaap van Roon, a visionary whose AI algorithms were already transforming various industries. With a background at Microsoft, where he worked alongside luminaries linked to Bill Gates.

Under Jan Jaap’s leadership, Ireckonu began a journey to simplify the lives of hotel staff and redefine hospitality itself. It all started with citizenM embracing Ireckonu’s groundbreaking solutions. Since then, Ireckonu has grown into a global player, serving renowned hotel brands such as the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Loews Hotels, and the iconic Hard Rock Hotels.

Jan Jaap, with degrees in Computer Science, Medicine, and Mathematics, believes IT should empower streamlined company processes. Starting his career at Microsoft, he founded Ireckonu to reshape IT mindsets and deliver customer-centric solutions.

With 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, making significant contributions to renowned companies like Cendyn, Pegasus Solutions, HBSi, eRevMax and the Global Hotel Alliance. As COO, John is dedicated to driving the company's global growth and expanding Ireckonu’s position in the market.

With seven years at Ireckonu, Bob's financial acumen has been instrumental in the company's success. Prior to Ireckonu, he honed his skills at Atos and Stern Auto, solidifying his role in Ireckonu's financial strategies.

Hanna, Ireckonu's VP of Sales, boasts six years of experience and a Senior Marketing Manager role at AHLA. Her dedication to innovation drives Ireckonu's success in the hospitality tech sector.

Rik, Ireckonu's Head of Data, is an expert in machine learning and analytics solutions. His academic focus at VU Amsterdam underscores his commitment to AI-driven innovation.

Julia is a marketing professional with 15 years of expertise in omni-channel marketing for Fortune 500 companies, including Director of Integrated Brand Marketing at Samsung US. Here to help expand Ireckonu in Key Global Markets.

Marieke, Ireckonu's Head of Marketing, is a seasoned marketing strategist with a strong background in the hotel-tech industry. She's successfully led marketing efforts at Oaky, demonstrating her expertise in strategy and branding.

As Ireckonu's Head of Product, Felix brings industry experience from Cendyn, Expedia, and Hansar Hotels & Resorts, offering a holistic perspective on solution architecture.

Walter specializes in optimizing complex infrastructures through automation. His expertise in Microsoft System Center and hybrid cloud solutions streamlines Ireckonu's operations.

Ireckonu's Lead Architect, possesses nearly a decade of experience in developing versatile middleware solutions for the hospitality industry, ensuring secure, high-performance operations.

Robert Dawson, Ireckonu's Senior Advisor, is a seasoned hospitality technology executive with expertise in revenue management, digital marketing strategy, and global team leadership. With extensive experience at industry leaders like Sabre, Cendyn, and Choice Hotels, he's known for driving remarkable success in the hospitality sector.
